Our Story
Royal Balkan Bäckerei carries a tradition that spans generations — recipes and techniques passed down through a family of bakers, refined over decades of running successful bakeries across the Balkans. Now, that same tradition has arrived in Mödling, Austria, bringing authentic Balkan taste to a new home.
Behind the counter, our bakers work the dough the same way it's always been done — kneading, shaping, and rolling every piece by hand on a well-floured counter, loaf by loaf, so what reaches our display case is always fresh and made with care.
Giving Back
Across our history, our bakers have given away thousands of loaves of bread — mostly to people who couldn't otherwise afford it. It's something that has always filled us with pride.
There are certain times of year that hold a special place in our hearts. During these times, we're especially grateful to our loyal customers for making it possible to keep serving those who need bread the most. On these occasions, anyone who cannot afford food is welcome to eat at our bakery, completely free of charge.
This is who we are: a bakery for everyone, in good times and hard ones. Thank you, from the heart, to everyone who's been part of that journey — from the Balkans to Mödling.
